Project details

ICVolunteers would like to call on you as a friend to make its new Cyber-Volunteers Program a success. We are organizing a fundraising evening with welcome drinks, live music, tombola and dinner and would like to invite you to join the party!

The Cyber-Volunteers Program offers volunteer opportunities for information and communication technology (ICT) students and specialists. Through their participation as a cyber-volunteer, they will contribute to reducing the digital divide between developed and developing countries, but also within communities.

The first volunteers will start in Mali and Cameroon. In Mali, they will help local authorities develop web sites and software. In Cameroon, they will participate in the set up of ICT-centers, where young people from underprivileged neighborhoods will acquire new skills for a professional career.

ICVolunteers will continue to recruit cyber-volunteers for many more projects, in Africa, Switzerland and India. We have so far established partnerships for ICT projects in Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville, Mali, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, India and Switzerland (CERN).

With your support, ICVolunteers can recruit volunteers for these projects and cover their travel and living expenses. In turn, the cyber-volunteers will contribute to a more inclusive information society.

ICVolunteers (International Conference Volunteers) is a non-governmental organization that connects volunteers and organizers of non-profit projects.

Short Term Projects

ICVolunteers promotes volunteerism and its recognition, by enhancing civic commitment and involvement, and by providing leadership and links between organizations, individuals and communities. With this perspective, ICVolunteers develops projects and leads initiatives.
