Timbuktu freed

It is with relief that we hear Timbuktu has been freed, but with sadness for all the treasures lost, in particular the manuscripts of Ahmed Baba (see article of Malijet).

It is our hope that some of these treasures can be recuperated.

A thought to see all the peoples -- sedentary and nomadic -- of Timbuktu and Mali find peace and tranquility.
