Tell us your story! Tell us why you are a volunteer!
ICVolunteers is putting together a video that will constitute a series of testimonials from volunteers around the world telling their experiences. They will seek to answer the following questions:
- Who am I?
- Why do I volunteer?
- What do I expect from it?
- What did I learn?
- How did my work impact the event?
- How did my work impact the world?
- What is the importance of volunteering for the world?
Get your message across in the context of the International Year of Volunteers +10 (IYV+10), which is 2011!
The use of photographs, videos of volunteering experiences and expressions of one’s own culture are encouraged. Creativity is a plus.
The message we will try to portray through these testimonials is that anyone can participate in creating a better future. An increase in international cooperation has been made possible by technology, so that no matter where you are in the world, you can collaborate with others in the widest array of subjects possible, and ICVolunteers seeks to facilitate such cooperation.
The reports should have a catchy title such as:
“Yes, I can!†or “My grain of sandâ€
The quality of the video should be HD, ideally 1440x1080.
The purpose of this video would be to show volunteers what they are capable of doing, to attract more volunteers and to publicize the work of ICVolunteers. Thus it must be entertaining, informative and diverse.
