I am about to complete my Professional Certificate of Translation and Interpretation in the UC San Diego Extension, and I would like to volunteer to do simultaneous and consecutive interpretations in order to gain experience in this fields while helping others.

I just graduated from medical school a few months ago, and I am about to begin my residency in November. Because of the long hours that my work requires, I don't have much free time to do any physical volunteering work so I am looking to help out in any way I possibly can. I love to read (and not in a casual way — LOVE in capital letters), I write when I can, I'm a huge movie and TV show enthusiast, and I am very active in human rights, especially for women, the LGBT+ community, and racial minorities. I am also an animal lover, and plan on adopting rescue animals as soon as I have a large enough space of my own.
