 I am an interpreter based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I interpret for German, Czech and French, usually for the Council, Inland revenue, Dept for work and pension, sometimes for GPs, prisons, the border agency etc etc. My interests are music (classical and world-music), I sing in 3 choirs, I like walking, swimming (sea or lake), I like children, and I have also worked with the elderly and adults with special needs. Because of the long hours that my work requires, I don't have much free time to do any physical volunteering work so I am looking to help out in any way I possibly can. I love to read (and not in a casual way — LOVE in capital letters), I write when I can, I'm a huge movie and TV show enthusiast, and I am very active in human rights, especially for women, the LGBT+ community, and racial minorities.
